I bought a mammut coat but its spelt wrong jk
I ordered a 3-in-1 waterproof jacket for my wife from the website at the sale price of 60. When I looked at it in store the zip in fleece was missing from the garment, as the garment was the last one available I asked the assistant if they could provide a suitable fleece so that the goods would be as described but was told that this was not possible but that they would ask the manager if they could offer a discount as an alternative. When the manager arrived she seemed to be resentful that the online price was 60 (the marked price on the ticket in-store was 75) and would only reduce the price to 50, I pointed out that I could not replace the missing fleece for the 10 discount offered but she would not move any further so I reluctantly left empty handed. I was very disappointed to find goods not as described and poor customer service after more than an hour's round trip specifically for this item. I complained to Go Outdoors customer service and received an apology and the opportunity to purchase the item for, wait for it, 50! This experience combined with the ridiculous 'discount' card which has to be paid for annually has made up my mind that Go Outdoors will get no further custom from me
I go a bike for my birthday from the go outdoors store in Manchester. After the 1st time riding it the bike started to have a clicking noise and you could feel it in the pedal. I rang the Wigan store as this was my closest shop, I spoke to a member of staff called Antony and he said bring it down so I can have a look. Along story short after a couple of different jobs done to the bike it still wasn't right today he rang me and got me a new bike and put all my stuff on it. Brilliant customer service and very understanding staff. Defo use this store. Thanks Antony for your help
A great variety of products for sale that are suitable for all types of camping, hiking and even equestrian activities. You do have to buy the loyalty card at 5 though (lasts 12 months) if you want to get the goods at the cheaper price.
We have a family emergency and are relocating back to Wigan. Rented an unfurnished flat and decided that camping gear (air bed, air sofa, rugs, tables, etc.) would work fine until we had time to properly furnish the flat. I went to Go Outdoors and spent almost 200 on my first visit. One item, a rubber mat which cost less than 5 was so slippy that I returned it. That return proved to be a horrendous experience. The manager with the fake red hair gave me a lecture on the mat, interrogated me as to where I was using it, and after much embarrassment and hassle, finally agreed to refund the cost. I have never been treated like this in any store EVER!!! The sales clerk told me that I wasn't very nice - excuse me - I was nice until the awful manager began her harassment over a 5 item when I'd just spent almost 200. I intended to purchase a lot more stuff, but decided to go elsewhere. Their customer service is awful, and the store is poorly stocked; most items I wanted were sold out or not in stock. Very disappointing and I will never shop there again.
