Hassle free visit on a Sunday morning/early afternoon. Good cinema on the edge of a retail park and close to DW stadium. Traffic was pretty bad around that area even though there wasn't a match on. Something to consider when deciding when/where to go to watch your films.

Not being a "people person" I elected to come here during a off peak period to see Bohemian Rhapsody. Was showing on screen 8 and I opted for isle seats quite near the front. Plenty of parking, the complex appeared clean neat and tidy and with only a handful of fellow viewers it added to a feeling of what could have been a private viewing! Toilets on this wing of the building are almost opposite the screen 8 entrance doors and were also in a very clean condition. Staff were alert, friendly and efficient. Having been an Odeon customer in other parts of the country having staff that don't communicate is a definite plus!. Popcorn, drinks and the usual refreshments are at standard cinema rates and are available as you purchase your tickets. Looking forward to my next visit

Received a phone call from Jenny this morning, in regards to the film I'd booked for 12:45pm saying they were having technical difficulties with the screen. She offered to give a refund or swap our tickets for another film, so we swapped once at the desk later on. Staff were super friendly and we even got free food and drinks on the house. Can't thank Jenny enough for being such a star! :)

Sad for bohemian rhapsody tonight. I have been told by others that it was almost like going to a live show but NO atmosphere at Wigan Empire tonight. No singing along or any appreciation for the wonderful FM and Queen. Staff were nice but the prices for tickets, food, drinks were extortionate. I We noticed up to 8 staff standing around chatting whilst customers were struggling with the ridiculous buy-your-own ticket machines. Come on Empire. You seriously need to up your game.

Parking is easy to find near by. If there's none available outside, then there's loads in the DW parking, which is facing the cinema. The staff are always friendly and ready to help (5*), the facilities are clean & so are the loos.My only gripe is the price of the tickets, drinks & snacks. I know everywhere is pricey these days but with people feeling the pinch these days, I know I'd be willing to go more often with my kids if it was somewhat more affordable.
