Great place for children's swimming lessons
Music from classes is inconsiderately loud for other users who also have to deal with the inane music from the speakers in the gym. Who wants the gym music anyway? Many have their own headsets. The music in the classes is probably above legal limits for exposure times.
Service is the issue today Saturday January 12th. I dialed the Wigan phone number 3 times throughout only to be diverted to a central reception desk. They informed me that they would message the Wigan gym to ring me 13.06 still no call . The usual low standards of service I would expect from this gym !
A busybody interrupted me and my sons set to stop us training as you have to be 18 to use loose weights... Only informed us of this after watching us train for two weeks... Sure this had nothing to do with the 2 week cooling off period?. Rediculous rule. Found a proper gym where youngsters can train with loose weights from age 14 as long as they are training sensibly with an adult, as my son was before the jobsworth interrupted us.
Lacks a few machines, pool brakes far too often, broken weights at times, kids running around playing on training machines, kids using lengths pool as a play pool. Used to be a great gym about 5 years ago, poor these days, the gym just isn't worth 45 pound a month anymore.
